Sport has always been a huge part of JoJo’s life. From tennis, athletics, netball and horse riding, to golf, which became her greatest passion, where she earned recognition for her achievements in the sport during her time at Stowe School.

Fifteen years ago, JoJo discovered functional fitness, and it changed her life. While the constantly varied training challenged her physically, it was the sense of community, encouragement and belonging that had the greatest impact. Those experiences inspired the vision behind The Yard Collective: creating a welcoming environment where people of all abilities feel supported, challenged and part of something bigger.

Alongside her fitness journey, JoJo spent nearly two decades as a Social Worker, leading teams to support vulnerable children and foster families. Today, as a qualified Personal Trainer, CrossFit Coach and Sports Massage Therapist, she combines her passion for health, fitness with her commitment to helping others thrive.

Lucy brings an extraordinary sporting background and a lifetime of experience in elite athletics. Spotted at just 11 years old by former national athletics coach Tom McNab, she went on to train as a heptathlete full-time at Lee Valley National Sports Centre, alongside Olympic medallists Jessica Ennis and Kelly Sotherton.

With her sights firmly set on representing Team GB at the London 2012 Olympic Games, Lucy established herself as one of Britain’s leading young combined-event athletes. She became Britain’s No.1 Under-23 Heptathlete, ranked No.5 in the UK, won four English Schools Gold Medals, claimed two National Javelin titles and set the National Indoor Pentathlon record. However, injury brought her athletics career to an unexpected end.

Although this was a heart breaking set back, this did not prevent Lucy from pursuing her passion for training and competition. She has carried forward the discipline and determination that shaped her athletic career into every challenge since. You may even recognise her as  Tempest from Gladiators!

Lucy brings a wealth of experience to TYC and she will always provide those she is coaching with unwavering support, encouragement and a smile.
